Sally Blundell is a writer, journalist, editor and reviewer based in Ōtautahi Christchurch. She worked for, and contributed to, a number of magazine titles, including NZ Listener, NZ Geographic, Te Karaka, Art New Zealand, Art News, North & South, and Landfall. As an essayist she has also written for the Griffith Review, Once in a Lifetime: City-building after disaster in Christchurch and Extraordinary Anywhere: Essays on Place from Aotearoa New Zealand. Her contribution to Public Knowledge explores the mosque shootings of 2019 in the context of social media and public response.
